Covenant University, often abbreviated as CU, is located in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was established in 2002 by the Nigerian Church of God through its world headquarters in the United States and has been ranked as one of the top universities in Nigeria and Africa.

Covenant University remains one of the leading private universities in Nigeria, and at present offers courses in the following institutions and schools:

Admission Requirements:

For foreign students, GED/High School Diploma: 2.0 GPA in all relevant core courses or other approved score on General Equivalency Degree (GED) test. A minimum of 3 years full-time work experience for candidates 25 years and older who want to pursue a graduate degree.

Official high school diploma or GED scores required for applicants younger than 25 years old; however no prior college credits will be accepted for students under 21 years old even if earned at another accredited university.

Competitive scores (at least 1100 SAT / 24 ACT) from previous academic success are recommended for successful admission with less than a full semester of general coursework. Home study is not acceptable unless candidate provides official documentation of repeated attempts at public school settings prior to age 18.

For Nigerians, a minimum of 180points in JAMB with a combination of at least five credit pass in the required subjects from WAEC/NECO exams

Feeding Facilities Available at Covenant University

The institution has a dining hall that is open throughout most days and hours. The variety of food on offer at these dining halls is quite extensive, with items ranging from pasta and burgers to breakfast cereals and sandwiches. Students can eat in as little or as much as they want during meals. There are also two sit-down restaurants on campus – one serves standard fast food fare such as hamburgers, fries and hot dogs while another focuses primarily on local Nigerian cuisine such as jollof rice (made with tomato stew) and banku & fufu (cornmeal mixed with fermented corn dough). There is also a coffee shop selling cold drinks. In addition, there are four convenience stores selling snacks 24/7 including cakes, cookies and assorted candies.

How To Apply For Admissions Into CU.

Application process for admission into Covenant University is done entirely online. To apply as a fresh student you will need to click on applications and choose which programme/course you would like to study at CU.

Clicking on any of these courses will direct you onto a form that can be filled out in order for you to proceed with your application. The next step after submitting your application is gaining a JAMB score that qualifies you for admission. You are then required to pay an acceptance fee of N50,000 before being granted an interview date. If you successfully pass through interview stage you are given a provisional admission letter from CU. You must then pay another acceptance fee of N250,000 before finally being granted full admission into Covenant University.

All students who have been admitted into covenant university must also make sure they register for their courses within two weeks or risk having their place revoked by other students who may be waiting outside if there are more applicants than available spaces in each course offered by covenant university.

Generally speaking, Covenant University is perhaps the best university in Nigeria currently in aspect of infrastructure and research, while it is pretty much expensive, it is still worth every penny.
