The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for doctoral studies to excellent students from select developing countries with no other means of financing their studies, to develop effective scholars and leaders, and to prepare them for employment, primarily within the AKDN.  This scholarship is structured as a 50% grant and 50% loan, with the loan portion requiring repayment.
